Ever wanted to recreate the sounds from Imogen Heap, Mike Dean, and Bon Iver?
On Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025, join Atlanta Music Technology at The Supermarket to learn to build a Harmonizer in Max/MSP!
A Harmonizer is a piece of software that turns any sound into a harmony. Our Harmonizer will control the scale degree and key of our sound, and will shift the voicing of the chord depending on the note we input. Examples of this effect are Kanye’s Hold My Liquor, Bon Iver’s 715 CRΣΣKS, and Imogen Heap’s Hide and Seek.
Max/MSP is a graphic programming language developed by Miller Puckette in the 1980s when working at IRCAM in France. Programmers use objects to process digital signals to make music, audio effects, synthesizers, and audio-reactive visuals. No previous computer science background is necessary to join, but some beginner knowledge of music production is recommended.
Atlanta Music Technology is a new event series founded by Dustin Ragland and Braxton Clark to educate Atlanta’s music community on how to build their own audio softwares, hardwares, and Max Devices.
